Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most affluent towns — and the cars parked on its driveways reflect that. At Marshall's Detailing, we provide professional, fully mobile ceramic coating in Harrogate, protecting everything from daily drivers to prestige vehicles with Gtechniq-certified paint protection applied at your home or workplace.
No drop-off. No waiting around. We bring the full professional setup directly to you — across Harrogate town centre, Pannal, Killinghall, Starbeck, Bilton, Beckwithshaw, Burn Bridge, Rossett, and surrounding villages.
Harrogate sits at the edge of some of North Yorkshire's finest driving roads — the A59 out toward Skipton, the winding B-roads through Nidderdale, and the A61 corridor into Leeds. That environment is relentless on paintwork. Road salt in winter, tree sap and pollen in spring, UV fading through summer, and industrial fallout year-round all degrade your vehicle's clear coat faster than most owners realise.
A professionally applied ceramic coating creates a chemically-bonded, semi-permanent protective layer over your paint. Unlike wax or sealant — which sit on top of the surface and wash away within weeks — a ceramic coating bonds at a molecular level and hardens to form a durable, hydrophobic shield. Water beads and rolls off. Contamination struggles to bond. Your paint stays cleaner for longer, and far easier to maintain.
The results last for years, not months. And with the right preparation — which is everything — the depth of gloss you get from a properly coated car is unlike anything a valet alone can achieve.
All packages include full decontamination as standard: iron fallout removal, tar removal, and clay bar treatment. Proper preparation is what separates a coating that lasts five years from one that fails in five months. We never skip it.
2 Year Ceramic Coating - From £465
7 Year Coating (PPL Reign)- From £565

We begin with a thorough pre-wash to remove loose dirt and grime, followed by iron fallout removal to dissolve embedded metallic particles and tar removal to lift bonded road tar. The surface is then clay barred to achieve a perfectly smooth, contamination-free finish.
e use professional dual-action and rotary polishers with appropriate compounds to remove swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and surface defects. This stage is what dramatically improves gloss depth — and it's what your eye sees when you look at the finished result.
Before any coating touches the paint, we IPA-wipe every panel to remove residual oils and polishing dusts. The surface must be surgically clean for the coating to bond correctly.
We apply the ceramic coating by hand, panel by panel, using correct levelling technique. Coating application is methodical — rushing this stage produces high spots and uneven curing.
The coating bonds to your clear coat as it cures. We advise on aftercare to ensure the coating achieves its full rated performance.
After application, we recommend keeping the vehicle dry for 24 hours to allow the coating to begin curing. For the first two weeks, avoid automated car washes with brushes — hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo is recommended. Long-term, a coated car is significantly easier to maintain than an uncoated one: dirt has far less to bond to, and water simply beads off.
We're happy to advise on maintenance products and routine at the point of booking.
We cover the full Harrogate area and surrounding villages, including:
Harrogate town centre · Pannal · Killinghall · Starbeck · Bilton · Beckwithshaw · Burn Bridge · Rossett · Hookstone · Spofforth · Follifoot · Tockwith · Boroughbridge road corridor · Knaresborough (4 miles)
Coatings, applied correctly to a properly prepared surface, last between 2 and 7 years (Years is calculated my the average uk yearly mileage) depending on the package and maintenance. Regular inspection washes help maximise longevity.
A ceramic coating adds a layer of hardness above your clear coat, providing resistance to light surface marring and swirl marks. It is not scratch-proof — deep key marks or stone chips will still penetrate — but it significantly reduces the accumulation of light wash-induced swirling over time.
Yes. We coat everything from brand-new vehicles to older ones that have had paint correction first. We'll advise on which package suits your vehicle's current condition.
No. Many customers go about their day while we work. We just need access to the vehicle and an electrical socket.
Wax typically lasts 4–8 weeks. A quality paint sealant might last 6 months. A ceramic coating lasts years — and provides a significantly harder, more chemically resistant surface in between.
